Hi, I’m Ingrid (she/her)
I’m an autistic, ADHD, queer psychologist based in Boorloo/Perth, offering neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed therapy across Australia via telehealth.
Over the past several years, I’ve supported neurodivergent clients across the lifespan in NDIS, private, and community settings, focusing on practical, identity-affirming care that strengthens autonomy and wellbeing in home, work, and study environments.
I aim to meet you where you are and help you build toward where you want to be, with kindness, humour, and practical tools that fit your brain and body.
You don’t have to fit therapy. Therapy can fit you.
My Approach
My work is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and grounded in disability justice.
I work from the Social Model of Disability, recognising that distress often arises when environments do not accommodate our needs, not from something “wrong” within us.
Every session is guided by collaboration, autonomy, and respect for your lived experience. We build therapy together, checking in regularly, moving at your pace, and finding what helps you feel grounded.
We decide together:
How sessions run (camera on or off, chat-based options, flexible pacing)
Which topics or goals feel most relevant right now
How much structure or guidance you want from me
Your consent and comfort shape the process at every step.
Some days are for reflection, planning, or problem-solving. Other days are for breathing, stimming, or simply existing. Sessions may be structured or flexible, talk-based or creative, quiet or energetic. However you show up is okay.
Here, you do not have to mask, perform, or explain your identity to be understood. You can stim, take breaks, go camera-off, or type/draw/use emojis instead of talk. It is your space and your pace.
I do not use ABA, compliance-based programs, or interventions that promote masking.
Instead, we focus on curiosity, comfort, and building safety—not changing who you are.
What We Might Do Together
-
We’ll identify what’s working and where support’s needed — at home, work, study, or in relationships — and create adjustments that fit how your brain works.
-
Sessions move at your rhythm. You’ll be invited to notice signals from your body and environment, set sensory and emotional boundaries, and adjust pacing so therapy feels predictable, safe, and sustainable.
-
Evidence-based strategies tailored for neurodivergent minds — practical tools for energy management, executive functioning, emotion regulation, and values-guided action that fit your communication style.
-
We’ll use grounding, compassion, and interoceptive awareness practices that foster gentleness and resilience. These approaches support unmasking, self-acceptance, and calm nervous system regulation .
-
Drawing on Circle of Security and family-systems approaches, we’ll strengthen safety, understanding, and co-regulation within relationships.

Outside the therapy room
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me:
Recharging in nature: snorkelling, bushwalks, and generally touching grass to recharge my nervous system.
Learning line dancing (two left feet; big enthusiasm).
Under a weighted blanket, wearing noise-cancelling earphones, with soft lighting.
Musicals on loop: Hamilton, Epic the Musical, K-Pop: Demon Hunters.
Deep in queer pop culture: boygenius, Ethel Cain, Chappell Roan.
Falling into long video essays (ContraPoints, CJ the X).
Rewatching my comfort shows: Avatar: The Last Airbender and Arrested Development.
Obsessing over my current hyperfixation: The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (I have many thoughts).
Collecting stickers and decorating notebooks, water bottles, and the nearest flat surface.
Attempting to befriend every cat I meet. Still waiting for the cat distribution system to assign me one.
